Rijeka has become one of the leading harbours on the Mediterranean sea. 1920 – 1924 Rijeka was made a free state by the Treaty of Rapallo between Italy and the Yugoslav kingdom. On Trsat burg there are the churches of St. George, Our Lady of Trsat and the Franciscan monastery. Rijeka- isl.KRK (Malinska-Vrbnik-town of Krk ) biketour 31 km

We will explore the hidden bays of the island of Mali Losinj, discover the fascinating submarine world, and enjoy  the best parts of this island. Mali Lošinj (Italian: Lussinpiccolo, Venetian: Lusinpiccolo) is a town on the island of Lošinj, . The favorable climatic conditions, the construction of hotels and resorts, foresting and maintenance of beaches have led to an intensive development of tourism. The village is located in the most protected part of the Losinj bay. The town lies mostly on the eastern, sunny side of the island. In 1987 a team of the Research Institute Tethys started a long research of biology, ecology and social structure of the community of bottlenose dolphins that colonize the sea around the islands of Cres and Losinj. Today these dolphins are one of the best-explored groups in the whole Mediterranean. The size of the community is estimated at 180 individuals. Most of the individuals can be identified by photographs thanks to natural marks such as cuts and scars on their back fin, the part which is always to be seen when they come out to the surface to breath the air. island CRES –island Cres (Martinščica-Valun) 25 km
Cres and the neighbouring island of Lošinj once used to be one island, but were divided by a channel and connected with a bridge at the town of Osor. Cres is a hilly island, 66 km long and ranging in width from 2 to 12 km. The island’s coastline , 248 km long, is indented; its western and southern part have a plenty of bays and pebbly beaches while the northern and eastern part are characterized with steep and rough rocks. The fresh water lake of Vrana deserves attention as an unusual natural phenomenon. It is one of the deepest fresh water lakes in Eastern Europe, going down 76 meters at its deepest point (below sea-level!). Its fresh water supplies drinking water for the population of both Cres and Lošinj islands. Therefore it is very highly guarded and illegal to swim and fish in. island CRES – biketour 26 km (town of Cres-Porozina)- Rijeka
